Q. What types of therapy do you offer?
  • At Heal and Hope Counseling Services, we offer a diverse range of therapeutic modalities to meet each individual's unique needs. Our services include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, Hypnosis, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), the MATRIX Model, Family Model Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Through this integrative approach, we ensure that every therapeutic experience is personalized and supportive of each client’s unique journey toward healing.

Q. Do you offer telehealth services?
  • Yes, we provide HIPPA compliant telehealth services for clients who live too far to attend in-person sessions, are feeling unwell or prefer remote assistance due to health concerns.  Our telehealth platform ensures confidentiality and convenience. 

Q. What are your office hours?
  • Our Typical day of services hours are: (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) with receptionist able to assist those who check in and who may any out of pocket pay to render prior to services.

  • We do not work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, the 4th of July, or New Years Day.

  • If the office is closed, please leave a voice message or text which will be received and processed the next work day.

Q. What services do you provide for children and adolescents?
  • We offer specialized therapy for children as young as four years old, addressing a variety of concerns including behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, trauma, stress, and family transitions. Our therapists collaborate closely with parents and schools to ensure each child receives comprehensive support tailored to their well-being. If the child is acting out at home, we incorporate parents and work with the parents as well, during the treatment, providing them the skill sets needed to create change. If the child is in a home that has been separated due to divorce or other, then we work with each parent from each household to effect change.

Q. Are there certified classes available?
  • Yes, we offer certified classes in Domestic Violence Prevention, Anger Management, Parenting, and Alcohol and Drug Prevention. These classes are available for individuals or groups, and certificates are provided upon successful completion.

Q. Do you accept insurance?
  • Yes, we accept various insurance plans including Cigna, Medicaid, Humana, UBHC, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST), BlueCare, CoverKids and Behavioral Health. Medicaid, Medicare (certain plans), and many more (over 20) and we accept EAP networks. We also have a sliding scale to assist those who do not have insurance. If clients have more than one policy of coverage, they will need to provide these, and they are responsibly to keep their insurances updated with the office. 

  • Please contact our office to verify your specific insurance coverage.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
  • We require a 24-hour notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a fee. Our counselors are contracted and do not receive pay without providing actual services. If the client is on medicaid and does not pay the late fees yet continue not showing or being too late; the counselor has the right to cease their services to that client. We have a 3 no show or late cancellation policy to protect our counselors.

  • Please call our office at 423-790-4906 to reschedule or cancel appointments. Even if the office is closed, please contact the office to ensure you are date stamped as contacting our office within that 24 hour deadline and do not wait until the day of services.

Q. Do you offer services in languages other than English?
  • Not as of 2025 however, we strive to find counselors and front staff who are bilingual

Q. What makes your counseling approach unique?
  • Our approach is holistic and integrative, combining various therapeutic modalities to address the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of healing. We respect all faiths and cultures, providing a non-judgmental space for growth. Further, comorbid clients can find what they need in our office which has a licensed A&D counselor, a licensed professional counselor, a marriage and family specialist, a play therapist, trauma specialists, mental health and behavioral health specialist. The only time that our clients will need to be referred outside of our office is for med-management (medication) or Inpatient care, or for a Psychiatrist for a psychiatric assessment. Otherwise we got you covered! We do have a certified nutritionist in our office who can help our clients naturally to balance the chemical imbalances which often results in lower symptoms.
